If you are in the market for a small, affordable hot hatch then look no further than the Citroen Saxo VTR. You can be sure of one thing with a VTR, you're going to have miles of fun-packed driving.
The Saxo VTR is up there with the best of them. Cracking 60mph in under 10 seconds and a top speed of around 115mph, this little flier can purr around town but when you want to have a little fun, and shame other more sporting cars, then the Saxo VTR will deliver the goods. It will take tight corners with surefooted ease, giving excellent feedback through the steering wheel giving you the confidence to push it that little bit more.
Fuel consumption is excellent, 50 mpg is achievable if driven sensibly! Average mpg is between 35 and 40 ... pretty impressive. The standard brakes are also superb, reigning the car in impressively if required.
All in all, a cracking little motor!
